Hosting a Panel, Workshop, or Demonstration at SacAnime

We are expanding our programming space to offer more diverse content to our attendees, and are excited to see what fun experience you are ready to bring!  Please take a moment to read over the guidelines and information about our presentation spaces.

By submitting a presentation request, you are agreeing that you have read and understand the guidelines below, and will be expected to adhere to them as part of your participation at SacAnime. Due to time restraints, not all presentations will be accepted.

Stay on Topic

The description of the presentation needs to accurately reflect what the presentation is about.  Remember, the description in the program book is what will bring attendees to your presentation, so please take time to check the spelling and accuracy of your title and description thoroughly before hitting that submit button.

Stay on Schedule

Most presentations are 60 minutes in length, with a ten minute buffer beforehand for setup.  If you feel that your presentation might require more time for set-up breakdown, please specify that on the submission form.  While we will try our best to accommodate all requests, it’s very important that presenters don’t go over time and impact the next presenter.  Keep an eye on the clock!

Types of Presentations

  • Panel – Up to three panelists in front of a group of seated attendees, with a discussion/Q&A format.
  • Workshop – One teacher, and up to two assistants instructing attendees on how to make or do something in a classroom or learning studio.
  • Demonstration – Individual or group showing off a skill or performance on stage or open area.
  • Interactive – Audience participation, game show, or competition on stage.

Presentation Spaces – Setup and Technical Info

Panel Rooms are set up in theater style seating, with a presenter table at the front of the room.  Each presenter table includes three microphones.  If you require a projector and screen for your panel, please note that on the submission form.  All projectors have a HDMI input, and audio inputs are 1/8″ mini.   Any adapters must be provided by the panelist.

Workshop Rooms are set up in classroom style seating, with sets of tables and chairs, and a presenter table at the front of the room.  If you require a projector and screen or wireless microphone for your workshop, please note that on the submission form.  All projectors have a HDMI input, and audio inputs are 1/8″ mini.   Any adapters must be provided by the panelist.

Demo/Interactive Spaces are set up in theater style seating, with a raised stage or open performance area at the front.  There is one microphone, but no projectors or screens will be provided for these spaces.  Presenters can provide their own, but only if set-up breakdown does not interfere with the time slots of other presenters.

18+ Content

If your presentation contains or is based on mature content, you may now choose the 18+ option, however all presenters must be 18 years or older.  We will have presentation spaces available in Naughty Nerdy Nook for 18+ content during all normal show hours, and ID checks will be performed by SacAnime security staff.

Presenter Etiquette and Responsibilities

Presenters are responsible for all content of their presentations, and conduct of their presenters, and agree that they are not acting as authorized representatives or agents of SacAnime.  Any presentation that results in damage to the venue, any personal property, or bodily harm, is the sole responsibility of the presenter.

All presentations are offered on a voluntary basis, and SacAnime does not provide monetary compensation for presenters. Presenters must have a valid SacAnime registration badge for at least the day of the presentation.
